Anthony started his dancing career at a young age with the famous Scoil Rince Uí Ruairc in Limerick and remained with Scoil Uí Ruairc until he started his own school in the 1970's. He would like to take this opportunity to thank his teachers Aunty Baby, Aine (both deceased but never forgotten) and Mairin for the wonderful times he had with Scoil Uí Ruairc and also for the knowledge and skills imparted to him while their pupil which has helped him to become the successful irish dancing teacher that he is today.


Anthony has trained numerous champion dancers who have won (many times over) all major dancing titles including of course the big 2: Oireachtas na hEireann (All-Ireland Championships) and Oireachtas na Cruinne (World Championships). Anthony still runs the very successful Costello School of Irish Dancing and teaches with Siobhann Dorman, Breeda Mulcahy and his nephew Conor Holmes (former World and All-Ireland champion).

As well as being a qualified teacher with the Irish Dancing Commission, Anthony is also a qualified adjudicator and has adjudicated (and still adjudicates) at all major championships throughout the world. Anthony has also been appointed an examiner with the Irish Dancing Commission. Anthony now joins the select group who examine candidates for their Teachers' and Adjudicators' examinations.


The school still continues to produce Champion dancers at all levels.


Siobhann Dorman

Siobhann started her dancing career at the early age of 4 with the Costello School of Dancing and remained with the school throughout her entire dancing career. She won many championships in both solo and team competitions, including medals at the All-Ireland and World Championships and other major competitions as well as holding the destinction of being the first pupil from the school to win a Munster Championship.

When she qualified as a T.C.R.G. Siobhann joined the school as a teacher and since then has trained many champion dancers. Siobhann has also qualified as an A.D.C.R.G. and now adjudicates as well as teaching irish dancing.



Breeda Mulcahy

Breeda first attended dancing clases at the tender age of 3 under the tutelage of her mother Mary Mulcahy, founder of the renowned Mulcahy School of Irish Dancing, Mallow. Breeda has many happy memories of her days as an irish dancer and none more so than those of her 2 favourite feiseanna; Feile Luimni in Limerick and Feis Matthew in Cork.

When Breeda qualified as a T.C.R.G. in 1970 she opened her first class in Doneraile, Co. Cork and since then has trained many champion dancers. Breeda then went on to qualify as an A.D.C.R.G in 1983 and has adjudicated at feiseanna throughout the world including all the major championships.

Breeda would like to thank her mother for all she has introduced her to in the world of irish dancing and for the advice, guidance and support she has given to her throughout all these years and indeed which she still gives to her at present. 



Conor Holmes
Conor,who is a nephew of Anthony Costello, started his dancing at the very young age of four.He danced for the Costello School throughout his career and was the winner of numerous championships during this time.Conor finished dancing competitively in 1999 after winning the Munster,British National,Great Britain,All-Ireland and World Championship Titles.

Conor then went on to join Riverdance and spent two and a half years touring with the show.
Currently Conor is teaching with the Costello School and has helped train dancers from beginner level right up to world championship level.
