Principal: Costello School Of Irish Dancing
Anthony started his dancing career at a young age with the famous Scoil Rince Uí Ruairc in Limerick and remained with Scoil Uí Ruairc until he started his own school in the 1970's. He would like to take this opportunity to thank his teachers Aunty Baby, Aine (both deceased but never forgotten) and Mairin for the wonderful times he had with Scoil Uí Ruairc and also for the knowledge and skills imparted to him while their pupil which has helped him to become the successful irish dancing teacher that he is today.
Anthony has trained numerous champion dancers who have won (many times over) all major dancing titles including of course the big 2: Oireachtas na hEireann (All-Ireland Championships) and Oireachtas na Cruinne (World Championships). Anthony still runs the very successful Costello School of Irish Dancing and teaches with Siobhann Dorman, Breeda Mulcahy and his nephew Conor Holmes (former World and All-Ireland champion).
As well as being a qualified teacher with the Irish Dancing Commission, Anthony is also a qualified adjudicator and has adjudicated (and still adjudicates) at all major championships throughout the world. Anthony has also been appointed an examiner with the Irish Dancing Commission. Anthony now joins the select group who examine candidates for their Teachers' and Adjudicators' examinations.
The school still continues to produce Champion dancers at all levels.
